1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small data files or similar browser technologies that may be stored on or accessed from your device when you visit a website. Some are necessary for a site to function. 2. Our Launch Approach

At launch, Story & Spark intends to keep tracking limited. Essential technologies may operate without optional consent when they are strictly necessary to provide the Site, maintain security, prevent abuse, route traffic, or remember privacy choices. Analytics and other non-essential technologies should remain disabled until the visitor gives the consent required by applicable law. Story & Spark does not currently intend to use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral tracking, session-replay tools, fingerprinting, or targeted-advertising technologies.

If Story & Spark enables analytics, the implementation should be configured so non-essential analytics does not begin before the visitor has made the applicable consent choice. Analytics should be limited to information reasonably necessary to understand Site use and performance, such as page views, referral source, device or browser category, approximate location derived from network information, and session-level interaction data. The Site should not intentionally use analytics to collect the contents of form fields, sensitive information, or keystrokes.

Some Site functions may be provided by third parties. A third-party service may place or access cookies when its feature is loaded. Where a third-party technology is non-essential and subject to consent, the Site should block it until the required consent is obtained. Third parties process information under their own terms and privacy policies as well as any contractual restrictions we impose.

Declining optional cookies should be as easy as accepting them. Essential technologies cannot be disabled through our consent tool because they are needed to operate or protect the Site.

You can also adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies. Browser controls may affect Site functionality and do not necessarily control other technologies such as local storage. Where legally required and technically supported, we honor recognized browser-based privacy preference signals for processing to which those signals apply.

Cookie lifetimes depend on their purpose and configuration. Session technologies expire when the session ends or shortly afterward. Persistent technologies remain for a defined period or until deleted. Consent records may be retained long enough to demonstrate and honor the choice, subject to applicable law and our retention practices. We should configure optional technologies to use no longer a duration than reasonably necessary for their stated purpose.

We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, vendors, legal requirements, or Site features change. Material additions of tracking or advertising technologies should be reflected in this policy and, where required, presented through updated consent choices before those technologies become active.
